The interdisciplinary programme African Culture and Society is aimed squarely at students with an interest in Africa from a cultural and social science perspective. The focus is on the study of contemporary societies in Africa; while the subjects of social and cultural anthropology, sociology in Africa, and African politics and development policy are at the centre of the programme.
