Program Overview

Midwives accompany women and families during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding or the first year of a child's life. Through their care, they promote the health of mother and child and promote the competence and self-determination of women. The needs of women and families are the focus here. As a midwife, you work closely with other professional groups in a team to ensure optimal care. To do this, you must decide, reflect and act competently on the basis of scientific knowledge, your own clinical experience and the needs of women and families.
