Program Overview

The BA major in English and American Studies provides an overview of the structure and historical development of the English language and of British and American literature in the context of cultural history. On the basis of selected problem areas and questions, the students are familiarized with the essential literary and linguistic theories and methods. In addition, the command of the English language is acquired at a level that enables a stylistically confident and differentiated communication in oral and written form in all scientific fields.

German Secondary school leaving certificate Abitur, Proof of sufficient knowledge of German (uncertified copy), DSH scores, the signed print-out of your online application, the proof of your preliminary documentation, TestAS certificate (uncertified copy), a maximum score of 30 points for the HZB grade (with a HZB score of 1.0), Academic Transcripts, English Language Proficiency.
