Program Overview

The Finno-Ugric study program provides comprehensive technical knowledge, methods and skills in the field of Finno-Ugric languages and cultures. The focus of the training is either Finnish or Hungarian. In addition, students will study a variety of languages and cultures of minority peoples in the Ural region and Siberia. The course is designed to prepare for work requiring adequate language skills and familiarity with the socio-cultural conditions of each language area. In addition, communicative, cultural and media skills are trained as key qualifications for various occupational fields and taught independent scientific work.
