Program Overview

Students acquire basic knowledge, methods and theories of German studies in the sub-disciplines of literature, linguistics, medieval studies and German as a second and foreign language as part of a general academic and professional education. The course includes the compulsory modules Linguistics I/II/III and Literature I/II as well as Medieval Studies, which are followed by two modules for electives, with students choosing between the four elective modules Linguistics, Multilingualism, Literature and Culture and Language and literature in media contexts.
