The teaching degree program in German is made up of the subject areas German linguistics, German Medieval Studies, Modern German Literature and subject-specific pedagogy. Linguistics imparts the ability to analyze concrete language material, from the sound and writing system to syntax and semantic level. Literary science offers theories and methods of analyzing and interpreting German language texts from the early Medieval period to the present. Examples are introduced in differing cultural and sociohistorical connections. Methods of teaching German are discussed and practiced in subject-specific pedagogy.
Baccalaureate is divided: for high school certificates with a maximum score of 900 points, divided by 30, for high school certificates with a maximum score of 840 points divided by 28 (maximum 30 points) , Maximum 5 points for completed vocational training, practical activities, extracurricular services, Test German as Foreign Language-TestDaF level 4 or better in all f partial examinations, German Language Diploma-Level II (DSD II), C2 -GDS-Large German Language Diploma, Large or Small German Language Diploma or Central Senior Class Exam (ZOP), German Language Examination II of the Language and Interpreter Institute in Munich, German Bachelor's, Master's or Diploma Degree of a study program taught in German, IELTS (band 6) Certificate or TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper based, 213 computer based, 79 internet based).
