"Romance Studies deals with the languages, literatures and cultures of the Romansh-speaking world as it developed in parts of Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania) as a legacy of the Roman Empire and as a result of colonization also on other continents.Osnabr ck Romance Studies is one of two universities in Lower Saxony with the opportunity to study Italian and, in addition to foreign language skills, to acquire sound knowledge of Italian culture, literature and media. During their studies, students benefit from an excellent mentoring ratio, which ensures both small learning groups and intensive and individual supervision of homework, bachelor's and master's theses.The subject Italian is offered as a minor and core subject as part of the 2-subject bachelor's degree in the sub-degree program ""Romance Studies/One Language"" and must be combined with another subject."
