The specialized bachelor's program Spanish / core subject provides a broad basic study of Spanish in the field of literature, culture and media studies as well as linguistics and history. The scientific interest is not limited to Spain, but also includes the language, cultures and literatures of Latin America in research and teaching. As part of a profile phase, the technical and methodological basic knowledge acquired in the first semesters is expanded and deepened in two of the areas mentioned, depending on the focus of interest.

An integral part of the bachelor's degree in German studies is the teaching of broad didactic knowledge and skills as well as intercultural and communicative key competencies. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the methods of scientific work and to give them a good overview of the various branches of German studies.
