Program Overview

The subject of the study of Ancient Near Eastern Studies are the languages and cultures of the Ancient Near East from around 3200 BC. to 300 AD During your studies you will mainly learn two ancient oriental languages and cuneiform writing. You will also acquire knowledge of the political and cultural history of the ancient Near East. After completing your studies, you will be able to solve complex philological, ie linguistic and literary problems and critically analyze historical events.
