BA Philosophy

The main attraction of philosophizing consists in critically examining what seems to be self-evident. It is probably for this reason that philosophers are often regarded as those academics who have made it their task to take up typical children's questions and to process and differentiate them according to scientific standards: What actually is justice Why be moral at all What distinguishes belief from knowledge How does linguistic meaning come about What are the characteristics of a scientific theory Is the world infinite what is time Philosophical questions are often of a fundamental nature for which there is no room in other sciences. Philosophical problems are those which can neither be decided solely by formal methods calculation nor solely by empirical verification experiments. The central method of philosophy is therefore the critical, precise examination of arguments.
