3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Jena

Program Overview

Nutritional science (trophology) is an interdisciplinary subject that focuses on nutrition and the associated processes in the human body that are necessary for maintaining human health and performance and for healthy aging. In contrast to ecotrophology (household and nutritional sciences), the subject is scientifically and biomedically oriented. You will learn different aspects of nutrition on a molecular and cellular level as well as on the level of entire organisms in an interdisciplinary manner and with high scientific standards. In order to make this possible, comprehensive scientific and biomedical basics are laid in the subjects of physics, mathematics, biostatistics, chemistry, molecular and human biology and microbiology in the first year of study.
