Program Overview

Knowing the history of science is an important prerequisite for carrying out and evaluating today's research. To investigate and point out the dependencies, connections and interactions between the natural sciences and the respective society is the goal of the discipline. Its special interdisciplinary character forms a bridge between the natural sciences and the humanities. The history of natural sciences can be taken as a secondary subject at the University of Hamburg in the context of all Bachelor's programs. In addition, part of the teaching offer can be selected as a supplementary area of the minor subject Medieval Studies .
