Program Overview

The innovative, interdisciplinary bioinformatics course trains specialists at the interface between information technology and biosciences, applied mathematics and statistics. In the first part of the course (1st to 3rd semester), basic contents of biology (especially molecular biology), computer science and mathematics are taught. They deal with biochemical and mathematical basics, with the basics of algorithms, genetics and gene regulation as well as with experimental molecular biological work. You will learn programming skills and the basics of bioinformatic thinking.
