Program Overview

The bachelor program Biology teaches the basics of natural science in biology as well as the neighboring sciences chemistry, physics and mathematics. The main focus is on the various branches of biology: cell biology and biochemistry, evolution, genetics and molecular biology, physiology, morphology, systematics, microbiology, developmental biology and ecology. Especially within the compulsory elective area, students can specialize in biological topics and a free elective area also provides insights into the offer of the entire University of Hamburg. The study is completed with the examination module and the bachelor thesis.
