Program Overview

Whether genetic fingerprint or evidence of genetically modified food, the Molecular Life Sciences program unites the natural sciences disciplines to explore and understand life at the molecular level. The program is interdisciplinary and includes the basics of biology, chemistry, medicine and physics. The field of life sciences at the University of Hamburg is a focal point in research and teaching. Non-university institutions such as the Bernhard Nocht Institute and the Heinrich Pette Institute are involved in the degree program. The goal of the degree program is to provide in-depth knowledge of biochemistry as well as the ability to establish connections within the scientific disciplines, to recognize and solve problems.
