Program Overview

Classical archeology deals in a broader sense with the material legacies of ancient cultures, especially Greece and the Roman Empire from the end of the 2nd millennium BC. BC to the middle of the 6th century AD. In addition, geographically and temporally adjacent cultures such as the Bronze Age cultures of the Aegean (Minoans and Mycenaeans) and the Apennine peninsula (Late Bronze and Early Iron Age cultures of the Italians and Etruscans) as well as the visual arts and Architecture of the early Christian-late antique epoch is another subject of research in the subject
