In the content-related events, you will learn the basics of Japanese studies such as intercultural communication, tools and an introduction to cultural studies, the "tools", so to speak, to be able to work scientifically. In the advanced modules you will acquire important specialist knowledge in the areas of culture, society and history of early modernism from 1600 and the modern age. Areas of high, popular and subculture are treated as well as regional and everyday cultures. This enables you to deal with modern Japan in a scientifically sound and competent manner.
