Economics (VWL) is a sub-discipline of economics. She tries to understand how decisions are made in companies, households and politics, how these economic subjects interact in a market economy and what effects economic policy decisions have on the functioning of national economies.The main study content at the University of Osnabr ck is microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, international economic policy and public finance. As a methodological subject, statistics/econometrics is assigned to the economic subject areas. A special focus in research and teaching is applied economic research.Economics is offered as a core subject and must be combined with another subject.
