"Economics deals with the economic actions of consumers, companies and the public sector in a market economy. It consists of the sub-disciplines of business administration (BWL) and economics (VWL).The course focuses on the areas of ""corporate accounting"", ""business informatics"" and ""empirical economic research"". Corporate accounting depicts, among other things, the business activities of companies. Business informatics deals with the design of operational application systems to optimize technical infrastructures. Empirical economic research teaches application-oriented methods in economics and their use with the help of relevant software."
