Psychology is an empirical science that deals with the experience, behavior and consciousness of people over the entire lifespan. Empirical means that knowledge is gained based on systematic observations. The study of mental disorders and their therapy is a sub-area of psychology. Other sub-areas deal with e.g. B. with the development of social behavior, the design of user-friendly software or the selection of personnel.
