Program Overview

The structure and content of the course are strongly oriented towards the later professional field of urban planning. For this reason, in addition to urban design and landscape architecture, a wide range of skills in the areas of sociology, governance, economics, law, history and theory are taught and imparted in study projects in an application-oriented manner. Urban planning is an interdisciplinary discipline that has an impact on other professional fields with elements of urban planning, law, social sciences, social sciences and economics as well as engineering and environmental sciences. The versatility of the course is also reflected in the orientation of the individual subject areas of the Institute for City Studies and the Institutes of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
