Curriculum Structure

Year 1: Foundation in Communication Theory and Practice

Your first year establishes the core principles of human communication and media fundamentals. You'll begin with Introduction to Communication, which explores the means, channels, and dynamics of direct human communication alongside interpersonal interaction through group, community, and cultural contexts. This course presents fundamental theories of face-to-face communication and demonstrates real-life applications. You'll also dive into Introduction to Media Studies, an introductory course that covers the historical development, key concepts, and models of mass communication from media theory and social science perspectives, before moving into media content and audience research traditions.

Year 2: Specialized Media Production and Analysis

In your second year, you deepen your expertise through hands-on media work and advanced analysis. Radio Broadcasting introduces you to the complete production cycle—from radio history and broadcasting theories to the practical recording, producing, and editing of radio shows, with assessment through actual program creation. Alongside this, you'll engage with The Social History of Communication, examining how communication has evolved across societies and contexts. This year emphasizes converting theoretical knowledge into professional competencies you can apply immediately in media organizations.

Year 3: Professional Integration and Specialization

Your final year focuses on integrating all learning into professional readiness, with options to specialize in Digital Media and Public Relations. You'll synthesize your journalism, PR, and organizational communication knowledge while developing the digital self-management capabilities essential for modern media professionals. The program emphasizes practical training that prepares you for immediate workplace contribution in journalism, content production, PR, or corporate communication roles.
