Program Overview

This interdisciplinary degree merges foundational business education with applied psychology. It’s ideal for students who want to understand how human behaviour impacts business success, from marketing and HR to leadership and decision-making.

  • Teaching and Assessment: Primarily taught through lectures and tutorials, with students responsible for large amounts of study outside of planned class contact hours. Essays and reports, individual and group assignments, and formal tests are all examples of assessment methods. The bulk of disciplines are assessed via a combination of coursework and exams.

  • QQI-accredited Level 8 degree with opportunities for postgraduate study

  • Year 1: Maths and Stats for Business, Business Context and Organisation, IT Essentials
  • Year 2: Management, Financial Management, Business Information Systems, Psychology, Social Psychology 
  • Year 3: Strategic Management, Global Business, Organisational Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences, Capstone Project

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Final-year research project

  • Case-based assignments in organisational and consumer behaviour

  • Career workshops and guest lectures hosted by DBS
