Program Overview

The BA in International Business at UL is an interdisciplinary and globally-focused degree designed to develop students into agile, culturally fluent professionals with a deep understanding of international markets. The program allows students to tailor their degree with modules in business, humanities, and language studies, while gaining first-hand global experience through structured academic and work placements abroad.

  • Combines business, law, politics, history, sociology, and languages

  • Strong international focus with academic and work placements abroad in Year 3

  • Optional dual degree pathway with partner institutions in France, Germany, Poland, and Japan

  • Language options: French, German, Japanese, Spanish (with beginner and advanced tracks)

  • Students take five modules per semester, with flexible module choices from multiple disciplines

Course Overview:

  • Year 1: Principles of Business, along with electives which include Principles of Risk Management, Macroeconomics, and more.

  • Year 2: Finance, Economics for Business, Life Insurance, along with languages

  • Year 3: One semester of international study and one semester of international work placement

  • Year 4: International Business, Confirmation Paper, along with a plethora of electives to choose from

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Compulsory academic placement abroad in Year 3 (one semester)

  • Compulsory international work placement in Year 3 (one semester)

  • Optional dual degree pathway with leading global business schools in Europe and Asia

  • Practical exposure to cross-cultural communication and international business practices

  • Opportunities to study and work in France, Germany, Poland, or Japan

Progression & Future Opportunities
