4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
This interdisciplinary degree explores how societies, governments, and legal systems respond to sustainability challenges such as climate change, inequality, and social wellbeing. It’s ideal for students who want to understand sustainability beyond science alone and are interested in shaping policy, law, and social change.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1 – Understanding Sustainability and Society
You start by building a broad foundation in sustainability thinking and the social sciences. Early modules introduce sustainability concepts alongside social and legal perspectives, helping you understand how human behaviour, institutions, and laws influence environmental and social outcomes.
Year 2 – Policy, Law, and Governance
In second year, the focus shifts to how sustainability is shaped through public policy and legal frameworks. You explore how governments design environmental and social policies, and how law is used as a tool to address climate change, inequality, and development challenges.
Year 3 – Applied Analysis and Research
This year develops your analytical and research skills. Through interdisciplinary coursework and projects, you learn how to evaluate sustainability policies, assess social impacts, and apply evidence-based thinking to real-world sustainability problems.
Year 4 – Specialisation and Capstone Project

This capstone allows you to apply social science, policy, and legal approaches to a sustainability issue you care about, preparing you for professional or postgraduate pathways.
