Program Overview

Curriculum Structure

Year 1 In your first year, you will be introduced to the foundational pillars of the discipline alongside two other Arts subjects of your choice to broaden your perspective. You’ll begin exploring Cognitive Psychology and Social Psychology, while simultaneously developing vital technical abilities in the Introduction to Research Methods and Practical Skills in Psychology module.

Year 2 During the second year, the program transitions into "Pure Psychology," where you will dive deeper into specialized scientific domains. You will study Biological Psychology and Perception, Attention and Performance, while also mastering data-driven analysis in Experimental Psychology to prepare you for high-level research.

Year 3 The third year is a "Global Experience" year, designed to provide you with a significant professional or international advantage. Depending on your goals, you will either undertake a Professional Work Placement in a psychology-relevant setting, study at a partner university abroad via the Erasmus program, or engage in a Research Internship within the School of Psychology.

Year 4 In your final year, you will become a true specialist by focusing on advanced applied topics and your own original research. You will study Applied Behavioural Analysis and Health Psychology, all while completing your Independent Research Project, where you will plan and conduct a scientific study under the direct supervision of an expert faculty member.


Focus areas: Cognitive neuroscience, health and wellbeing, developmental psychology across the lifespan, and advanced quantitative research methodologies.

Learning outcomes: Mastery of psychological theory required for professional registration; advanced scientific research and data analysis skills; ethical critical thinking; and the ability to apply psychological insights to solve real-world problems in clinical and corporate settings.
