Understanding the natural environment and the processes that take place in it requires extensive scientific knowledge in many areas. The aim of the Environmental Sciences Department is to provide its graduates with a strong scientific foundation, which is essential for an intelligent confrontation with the challenges that arise in the encounter of man with the Earth environment. This is the first study group established in Israel for environmental studies in a university framework. The department is taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (in various buildings scattered among the many trees and the extensive grasslands of the A. Safra Campus in Givat Ram), which is the leading university in Israel according to international rankings. The Department of Environmental Sciences offers a unique range of undergraduate study tracks, combining environmental studies and studies in another department.
