Bachelor in International business (180 ECTS)

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Luxembourg School of Business

Program Overview

The Bachelor in International Business at Luxembourg School of Business is a three-year, English-taught degree designed for students who want a broad business education while keeping their future career options open. It combines management, economics, finance, marketing, digital skills and international experience, making it a strong choice for students who want to work in Luxembourg or build a career across global markets.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1

The first year helps students understand how businesses, markets and people work. Modules such as Management Fundamentals, Microeconomics and Accounting introduce the basic principles behind organisational decision-making, market behaviour and financial reporting.

Students also develop essential professional abilities through Business Statistics, Writing and Persuasion, Speaking and Persuasion and Digital Skills. Language courses in French, German, Spanish or Chinese can further strengthen their ability to communicate in international environments.

Year 2

In the second year, students move into more advanced areas of global business. Through International Business, Marketing and International Financial Markets, they learn how organisations enter new markets, communicate with customers and respond to changes in the international economy.

Modules such as Strategic Management, Managing Projects, Corporate and International Finance and Operations and Supply Chain Management help students connect strategy with finance, logistics and day-to-day business performance. They also build practical commercial skills through International Negotiation and Sales.

Year 3

The third year gives students the chance to personalise their degree and gain real international experience. During the fifth semester, students study abroad at one of LSB’s partner universities, while the final semester allows them to specialise in Finance, Entrepreneurship or Marketing.

Depending on their chosen track, students may study subjects such as International Finance and Capital Markets, Financial Services, FinTech, Foundations of Entrepreneurship or Launching and Managing International Ventures. The year also includes a minimum four-month paid internship and a bachelor’s thesis on a topic chosen by the student.

Focus areas: International business, management, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, digital skills, negotiation, supply-chain management, project management, foreign languages and cross-cultural communication.

Learning outcomes: Students learn how to analyse international markets, understand financial and operational decisions, communicate persuasively, manage projects, negotiate across cultures, use digital business tools and contribute effectively to global organisations. They also develop critical thinking, teamwork, public-speaking and problem-solving skills through practical classroom activities and applied projects.

Professional alignment and accreditation: The Bachelor in International Business carries 180 ECTS credits and is officially accredited by the Luxembourg Ministry of Higher Education and Research. LSB is also a member of AACSB International and is currently undergoing the AACSB accreditation process; membership itself should not be confused with completed AACSB accreditation.

Reputation and employability: Luxembourg School of Business is Luxembourg’s first business school accredited by the national Ministry of Higher Education and Research. The official programme page states that graduate starting salaries in Luxembourg are around €3,165 per month, although this is a general graduate figure rather than a programme-specific guaranteed salary.

  • Interactive teaching: The programme uses discussions, presentations, teamwork and practical management exercises rather than relying only on lectures.
  • Guest speakers: Students regularly learn from CEOs, company founders, political leaders and experienced professionals who share current business and policy perspectives.
  • Career fair: LSB organises an exclusive career fair where students can meet employers and explore internship, part-time and graduate opportunities.

  • Graduation outcomes: Students graduate with academic business knowledge, digital certifications, international study experience, practical project exposure and a paid internship on their profile.

Further Academic Progression: After completing the bachelor’s degree, students can continue to a master’s programme at Luxembourg School of Business or another recognised university.
