Bachelor in Business

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

UBI Business School Wiltz Campus

Program Overview

The BSc (Hons) Business at UBI Business School is a three-year degree for students who want to understand how modern companies operate while developing skills in management, finance, technology, sustainability and international business. It is particularly well suited to students interested in global careers, entrepreneurship or using digital tools and artificial intelligence to solve real business problems.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1

The first year gives students a broad foundation in business and prepares them to approach management problems with confidence. Modules such as Economics, Organisational Behaviour and Marketing in a Digital and Global Society introduce how markets function, how people behave within organisations and how companies connect with customers internationally.

Students also build practical numerical, ethical and technological skills through Maths for Business Decisions, Information Systems and Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. Subjects such as Sustainable Business, Entrepreneurship and Startups encourage them to think creatively about launching and managing responsible organisations.

Year 2

During the second year, students begin applying their foundation knowledge to more complex international and technology-led business situations. Modules including International Management, Accounting and Corporate Finance and Sustainable Operations Management help them understand global organisations, financial decisions and efficient business processes.

Students also study Data Science and AI in Business, E-commerce and Online Consumer Behaviour and Managing Innovation and Technologies. These subjects show how businesses use data, artificial intelligence, digital sales channels and emerging technology to improve decisions and remain competitive.

Year 3

In the final year, students bring together their strategic, financial and international knowledge through modules such as Sustainable Societies and Economies, Integrative Management and Global Challenges. They may also explore specialist subjects including Sustainable Investment Management, Entrepreneurial Finance and Venture Capital, International Financial Management or Sustainable International Business Development.

Students can complete a professional internship or choose specialist electives such as Global Business: Chinese Perspective, Digital Transformation Strategy, FinTech and Blockchain Technologies or Cybersecurity and Digital Risk Management. This flexibility allows them to shape the final stage of the degree around their career interests.

Focus areas: International management, digital business, artificial intelligence, corporate finance, entrepreneurship, sustainability, innovation, marketing, operations, leadership and global business strategy.

Learning outcomes: Students learn how to analyse business and economic information, manage international teams, use data and AI in decision-making, understand financial performance, develop sustainable strategies, communicate across cultures and respond to technological and global business challenges.

Professional alignment and accreditation: The programme is developed, delivered and assessed by UBI Business School and quality-assured by Middlesex University London. Graduates receive a British BSc (Hons) Business degree issued by Middlesex University, and the programme carries 180 ECTS credits.

Reputation and employability: UBI Business School holds an overall QS Five-Star rating, including five stars for employability, teaching and online learning. Its Executive MBA was ranked 19th worldwide in the QS Global Joint EMBA Rankings 2026; this ranking applies to the Executive MBA rather than the bachelor’s programme, but it reflects the wider school’s international business-education profile.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

UBI’s bachelor’s programme gives students regular opportunities to practise the kind of work they may later complete in an international company. Instead of relying only on examinations, the course includes applied reports, presentations, group activities, digital learning, professional feedback and the option to complete an internship.

Technology is also built directly into the degree. Through UBI’s membership in AWS Academy, students gain access to Amazon Web Services learning resources, software, cloud tools and optional industry-recognised certifications:

  • AWS Academy tools: Students receive access to AWS cloud products, software, online courses and optional certifications that can strengthen their understanding of cloud-based business technology.
  • Data Science and AI in Business: Students investigate how data and artificial intelligence can support business planning, forecasting and decision-making.
  • Information Systems: This module helps students understand how digital systems collect, organise and distribute information across an organisation.
  • Digital Transformation Strategy: Students may choose this elective to explore how organisations redesign their processes, services and business models through technology.
  • FinTech and Blockchain Technologies: This elective introduces technologies that are reshaping banking, payments, financial services and digital transactions.
  • Cybersecurity and Digital Risk Management: Students can study how organisations identify and manage technological threats and digital business risks.
  • Group projects and presentations: Every module includes at least one collaborative activity, such as a group presentation, and peer assessment forms part of the evaluation process.
  • Individual business reports: Students complete substantial individual assignments that require independent research, analysis and professional recommendations.
  • Lecturer feedback: Submitted individual and group work receives feedback from lecturers, helping students refine their critical thinking and professional communication.
  • Internship option: In the final year, students may complete a 15-ECTS internship locally or internationally. Opportunities may be advertised through UBI’s dedicated Career Services and Internship page, or students may identify a suitable placement themselves with university approval.
  • Career Services Office: UBI supports students with job-readiness development and connects them with internships and professional opportunities.
  • Moodle learning platform: Students use UBI’s Learning Management System for course resources, assessments, academic communication and internship opportunities.
  • HyFlex classrooms: The Brussels campus includes fully equipped hybrid-learning rooms that support technology-enhanced participation for both on-campus and remote students.
