Why is every new generation affected by novels Why is it that we can not do without stories What is narrativity In Literature and Society: Dutch you will learn Dutch literature in all its facets. You read famous texts such as Mariken van Nieumeghen or De evenings van Reve and learn to place them in their cultural context. You study Dutch literature in a European perspective. Did you know, for example, that AFTh. van der Heijden his novella MIMbased on Greek mythology And that the novels of Jan Siebelink are influenced by great French writers Of course you will read the masterpieces from past and present during this bachelor program and learn to place them in their cultural context. You study the interaction between literature and society.
