In the bachelor Archeology you will learn about societies from the past and their importance for the world today. You do research into material remains of human action; you learn how to dig it up and what you can learn about earlier cultures thanks to this work. Theory and practice go hand in hand. Physical remains of the past appear in excavations, but are also studied in laboratories and museums. In addition to lectures on the past, the Archeology program in Amsterdam pays a lot of attention to material study, landscape and the presentation for a larger audience. The training works closely with museums, laboratories and municipal archaeological services.
