Social Work degrees combine academic courses with intensive skills development and internship experience in the field. There are two options for gaining a first professional qualification. Those without a prior degree can complete a four-year Bachelor of Social Work while those with a relevant degree can apply for entry to the Master's of Social Work (Applied). Graduates of both degrees are eligible to apply for registration as a social worker in New Zealand and overseas.
