Bachelor in Management and Sociology in Business and Media

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Kozminski University

Program Overview

The Bachelor in Management and Sociology in Business and Media is a three-year, English-taught program designed for students who are curious about how businesses, media platforms, technology and society influence one another. It combines practical management education with sociology, communication, digital media, marketing and research, making it particularly suitable for students interested in careers across media, business communication, digital marketing, research and entrepreneurship.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1:
The first year helps students build a strong understanding of both business and society. Through subjects such as Fundamentals of Management, Introduction to Sociology and Fundamentals of Marketing, students learn how organisations operate, how consumers and communities behave, and how businesses communicate their value. Courses such as Microeconomics, Fundamentals of Psychology and Professional Communication or Social Communication also strengthen their commercial awareness and interpersonal skills.

Year 2:
During the second year, students begin exploring how media, technology and research are used in modern organisations. Modules such as Media: Traditional and New, Information Architecture and Media User Experience Design and Methodology of Social Research help them understand media audiences, digital experiences and research processes. They also develop practical business skills through Internet Marketing and E-Business, Marketing Research and Design Thinking and Service Design.

Year 3:
The final year focuses on advanced digital, analytical and strategic applications. Students study subjects such as Artificial Intelligence in Business and Media, Big Data and Data Science in Business and Media and Digital Public Relations, preparing them to make informed decisions and create effective communication strategies. They also complete a Professional Internship and Diploma Seminar, allowing them to connect their academic knowledge with workplace experience and an independent final project.

Focus areas: Management, business sociology, social communication, traditional and digital media, internet marketing, e-business, media research, digital public relations, artificial intelligence, big data, data science, consumer sociology, media economics, design thinking and technological change.

Learning outcomes: Graduates learn how to analyse social and consumer behaviour, conduct qualitative and quantitative research, create digital content, design communication strategies, use modern information technologies and understand how media and technological developments affect businesses and society. The program also develops communication, critical-thinking, research, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills.

Professional alignment and accreditation: Kozminski University holds the internationally recognised AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA Triple Crown accreditations, a distinction held by approximately 1% of business schools worldwide. While these accreditations apply to the university rather than serving as a professional licence for this individual degree, they demonstrate strong international standards in business education.

Reputation: Kozminski University was ranked 42nd in the Financial Times European Business Schools 2025 ranking and was the highest-ranked business school in Central and Eastern Europe. Its international reputation, business connections and Triple Crown accreditation can strengthen the academic and professional value of the degree.
