This course introduces students to the concepts and tools of computational design and manufacturing. Topics include: computational design and data acquisition(advanced geometry representations, procedural modeling, 3D scanning), physics-based modeling and simulation (kinematic mechanisms, solid mechanics, material modeling, finite element method), and an introduction to fabrication methods with a focus on additive manufacturing (e.g., 3D printing).
Applicants should have completed at least 12 years of general education or have taken the Year 12 national/international examination in the year of application in order to be considered for admission. Students with strong competency in Mathematics and the Sciences are generally preferred. Test scores: IELTS, TOEFL, ACT, SAT
