Program Overview

The Bachelor of Communication Studies is a 4 year programme for undergraduates interested in majoring in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Broadcast and Cinema Studies, Communications Research, Interdisciplinary and Information Analytics. Students take core courses and some breadth courses in Year 1. In Year 2, they select electives in tracks they wish to specialise in. In semester 2 of year 2, students can choose to go on overseas exchange, and some electives can be taken in our partner universities. Communication Studies students also can apply for second majors in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences.

Additional Information & Requirements

General Paper of the Singapore Cambridge GCE 'A' Level Examination, 12 years of general education or will be taking High School national examinations in the year of application in order to be considered for admission, IELTS: a minimum of 6 for the Writing sub-test, TOEFL: a minimum of 570 (paper) or 90 (internet), SAT1: a minimum of 600 for the Verbal section; or 7 for the Essay section, A good grade in General Paper/English at Senior High School Level / IB Standard Level AND Additional Mathematics at Junior High School Level / Mathematics at IB Standard Level
