Program Overview

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering takes great pride in nurturing the creative minds of all students, equipping them with the global competences needed to succeed in the elds of electronics, electrical, and computer engineering. In 1992, in order to better serve the needs of the student body, the three departments of Electrical Engineering (founded in 1946), Electronics Engineering (founded in 1947), and Control and Instrumentation Engineering (founded in 1978) were consolidated into what is now the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
