Nuclear engineering is based on cutting-edge energy-based science and industry, such as nuclear power generation, which can generate enormous amounts of energy generated by fission reactions, and nuclear fusion, which can fundamentally solve the problem of energy depletion. It is an applied discipline that researches and develops new technologies and systems that will create and lead current and future industries by using energy such as radiation, accelerator, and laser. Nuclear energy is inevitably the most realistic alternative to dealing with fossil energy depletion and global environmental problems. In particular, nuclear power dependence on securing national energy and developing future energy sources in the reality of Korea.
