Since the Book of Odes, China has a very long history of literature, over four thousand years. Therefore, it is essential to study the stream and the context for understanding Chinese literature. Chinese Literature is categorized into classical literature and contemporary literature. Students explore various Chinese literary works including poetry, prose, play, and myth.
