Double Degree in Electronic Systems Engineering in Communications and in Engineering in the Management of ICTs

5 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull

Program Overview

This double degree allows you to earn two official engineering qualifications in five years, combining in-depth technical training in electronic communications with strategic ICT management skills. It is perfect for students who want to lead technological innovation while understanding business strategy, preparing you for diverse roles at the intersection of engineering and management.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1

In the first year, you will establish a solid foundation in both technical and creative thinking skills that support engineering and management pathways. You will study Programming Methodology and Technology to build software logic, Basic Electronics to understand circuits and components, and Business and Engineering to begin linking technical solutions with organizational needs.

Year 2

The second year expands your understanding of how systems work and how organisations operate. You will study Analog Electronics and Microprocessors and Digital Systems to gain confidence with complex hardware and embedded technologies, while Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Value Chain and Financial Economics introduce you to business and economic contexts essential for ICT leadership.

Year 3

In the third year, you will focus on communication systems, networks, and organisational skills. Courses such as Local Area Networks, Telecommunication and Electric Infrastructures, and Digital Signal Processing give you the expertise to design and optimise data transmission systems, while Marketing, Organizational Management, and Development of New Products teach you how to implement and manage technology solutions in real organisations.

Year 4

Year four balances advanced engineering practice with managerial competencies. You will take Power Electronics, Interconnection of Data Networks, and an Electronics Final Project to integrate your technical knowledge. Simultaneously, Project Management, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation prepare you to lead teams, manage resources, and launch new technology initiatives.

Year 5

In the final year, the focus is on professional readiness and strategic ICT leadership. You will develop technical expertise through Laboratory of Telematics and Programming in Mobile Devices, and enhance business and organisational skills in Business Strategy, International Business, Team Management, and the EOTIC Final Project, a capstone where you apply your knowledge to a comprehensive real-world challenge.
