Curriculum Structure

Year 1

The first year builds a strong foundation in biomedical sciences while introducing students to dentistry through integrated learning. Students study subjects such as Head and Neck Anatomy, Physiology of the Stomatognathic System, and General Semiology and Physiopathology, developing essential knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and oral health before beginning pre-clinical dental training.

Year 2

During the second year, students deepen their understanding of oral diseases and dental materials while strengthening diagnostic skills. Modules including Diagnostics in Dentistry, General Pharmacology, Human Nutrition, Anesthesia and Reanimation, and Normal and Pathological Occlusion prepare students to evaluate patients and understand modern dental treatment planning.

Year 3

The third year focuses on developing competence across the major dental specialties through advanced simulation and practical training. Students study Orthodontics I & II, Pediatric Dentistry I & II, and Dental Therapy, while gaining hands-on experience using virtual reality simulators, haptic technology, and pre-clinical practice environments.

Year 4

Students transition into real clinical practice while continuing advanced academic study. Course units such as Advanced Periodontics, Stomatology Prosthesis III, and Introduction to Clinical Practice on Adults are combined with approximately 300 hours of supervised patient care, allowing students to diagnose and treat real patients under expert faculty guidance.

Year 5

The final year emphasizes comprehensive clinical competence and professional readiness through intensive patient care, multidisciplinary treatment planning, and the Final Degree Project. Students complete advanced clinical rotations, refine restorative and surgical techniques, and graduate fully prepared to enter professional dental practice or pursue postgraduate specialization.
