Program Overview

The establishment of the College was a priority response by the Government of Tanzania to address the problem of acute shortage of graduate teachers and experts in the education sector that had resulted from the rapid expansion of school enrolment. The expansion was due to the successes of the Primary Education Development Programme in 2002 2006 and the Secondary Education Development Programme in 2004 2009, among other initiatives.

Additional Information & Requirements

Two or more principal level passes in two teaching subjects. Equivalent Entry Diploma in Education with an overall grade of B+ or possession of an Adult Education Diploma, CSEE or equivalent, with passes in FIVE approved subjects THREE of which must be at Credit level obtained prior to sitting for the ACSEE or equivalent; Two principal level passes in appropriate subjects in the ACSEE or equivalent, equivalent Diploma of not less than Second class/Credit level or B grade, minimum score of 100 obtained from MAEE consisting of a score of at least 50 in Paper I and 50 in Paper II, copy of the birth certificate and enclosing photocopies of O level and equivalent qualifications Certificates
