The School of Journalism and Mass Communication is a teaching, and research School of the University of Dar es Salaam. it conducts training and offers consultancy on issues concerning Journalism and Mass Communication.The School endeavors to create an environment that enables the training to meet the needs of our society and give students the best possible academic and professional education to prepare them for entry into various careers in the information communication sector

Two Principal level passes at C grade or higher and a credit pass in English at CSEE. Equivalent Entry equivalent Diploma of not lower than Upper Second Class level, CSEE or equivalent, with passes in FIVE approved subjects THREE of which must be at Credit level obtained prior to sitting for the ACSEE or equivalent; Two principal level passes in appropriate subjects in the ACSEE or equivalent, equivalent Diploma of not less than Second class/Credit level or B grade, minimum score of 100 obtained from MAEE consisting of a score of at least 50 in Paper I and 50 in Paper II, copy of the birth certificate and enclosing photocopies of O level and equivalent qualifications Certificates
