Program Overview

Plant Protection consists of two divisions, Entomology and Plant Pathology. Studies at the department focus on the identification of the agricultural pests such as insects, mites, nematodes, other animal pests of plants, fungi, bacteria, virus and weed, as well as their distribution, biology, bioecology and control. Additionally, theoretical and practical training and research on plant pathogen interactions, impacts of chemical pesticides on the environment and human beings, mechanical, chemical, physical and biological control of disease and pests are conducted.
