Program Overview

Fashion and Textile Design Department was established in 2011-2012 . Undergraduate education in the department is 4 years. In addition, students preferably can attend English Preparotary School for one year. The courses offered in the programme can be classified in groups; basic, vocational elective and elective. After the second year, students can produce their own designs in practical courses and they can develop themselves by the help of applications towards the market needs. Students can specialize in different areas of fashion design profession with the help of updated elective courses. Students who graduate from this department have the title of fashion designer. The Fashion Design Department which is a department of Fine Arts Design and Architecture Faculty is located in the Ba l ca Campus of Ba kent University and directed by one department head. The department is in collaboration with private sector and other universities.

Succeeding the lectures of the program and having F1, F2, E and Z. 2.00 grade point average gpa out of 4.00 and in 240 ECTS credits and must Complete the daily summer internship for graduation, Official high school transcripts, 2 Letters of recommendation, Statement of purpose, Copy of valid Passport, Registration Letter, Health Certificate, Foreign Nationals Exam that is given by Ba kent University and the ones accepted by Ba kent, GCE General Certificate Education, Cambridge International A Level, SAT CR+CW+M: minimum score of 1000 out of 1600 writing included, International Baccalaureate:At least 24 diploma score out of 45, International science olympaids: Having a gold, silver or bronze medal from the International Science Olympiads recognized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, West African examination council:Minimum 3 subjects in the related area of the applied program for 5 subjects with at least 25 points in total
