The Faculty of Fine Arts was founded in 1982, and the Painting Department started accepting students in 1983-1984 academic year. The department gives 4 year Bachelor education. The language of education is Turkish. The department includes a drawing workshop, 3 painting workshops, printmaking workshops, an in situ art workshop, a basic art training workshop, a graduate workshop, a theoretical classroom, a conference room and an exhibition hall, to secure the achievement of the educational objectives of the department. Each workshop accomodates approximately 25 students, with the average of 15 students per faculty.
