"Department of Information and Records Management raise the work force who shall perform ""information management"" function which involve compiling, arrangement, access and publishing of information and / or information sources. The above mentioned work force is intended to be raised as information and records managers who shall be capable of managing information centers encompassing libraries, documentation and information centers, of using information and communication technologies competently, of teaching information access methods and techniques to any individual with any educational level and also of evaluating those areas of information science, related to arrangement and access with an understanding of business and management."
