Program Overview

Department of Turkish Language and Literature is a four year formal education program under Faculty of Letters. Language of instruction is Turkish accept obligatory foreign language lessons.The objective of the department's interdisciplinary and intercultural approach is to enable students to develop a critical insight into various literary and cultural traditions. The courses offered in the department define and analyze the development of Turkish literary and cultural traditions and examine the historical development of of Turkish language and literature all its diversity and depth.

A certified copy of Secondary Education Certificate/High School Diploma and its translation by a sworn translator in case it is in a language other than English or Turkish, Photocopy of the page of the passport containing the applicant's photo, 2 passport-sized photos, Applicants who hold dual citizenship (one of which is Turkey Republic), must submit a certificate of identity register, Applicants who apply pursuant to the Article 4 of the eligibility criteria must submit a certified document which states the complete fulfillment of secondary education abroad, Applicants who hold Blue Card, Choice of interview and Skype name, High School Certificates /Diplomas-a GCE A Level: Provided that the average grade is C in minimum; at least 3 A-Level; or 2 A-Level and 1 AS-Level scores from relevant subjects, International Baccalaureate-A minimum score of 33, with one of the subjects being relevant to the program applied, French Baccalaureate-A minimum score of 14 in the stream relevant to the program applied, ABITUR -A maximum score of 2, one of the subjects being relevant to the program applied, Pishdanesgahi-A minimum score of 18, Foreign Language Points: TOEFL(IBT) 163 (Comp.based), TOEFL(CBT) 68 (Internet based), IELTS-5, CPE-C, UDS-60, KPDS-60, YDS-60
