The Department of Philosophy was founded in 1969. It covers a wide range of fields in the history of philosophy and offers programmes in undergraduate and graduate levels. There are elective courses for students from other departments, especially for students from the Department of Sociology and of Psychology who want to pursue a career as a high-school teacher.
