Program Overview

It is aimed that the graduates have professional social work knowledge, value and skills, are able to work with different level of client systems, in rural and urban areas, in governmental, non-governmental and private sectors as planner, organizer, educator, researcher. The program takes 4 years (8 Academic Semesters). Every academic semester consists of 14-16 weeks. Courses are designed for one term period and none of the courses except English courses has prerequisite. According to Baskent University Education and Examination regulation, lecturers are obliged to make 1 mid-term and 1 final exam in one semester. Besides, techniques such as project, field work, institutional visits, research, presentation and assignments are used.

Additional Information & Requirements

Pass the centrally administered entrance exam conducted by Student Selection and Placement Center OSYM. Complete the designated program of courses meeting a Minimum of 240 ECTS credit requirement and have a Minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no F1, F2, K, or Z grades, Official high school transcripts, 2 Letters of recommendation, Statement of purpose, Copy of valid Passport, Registration Letter, Health Certificate, Foreign Nationals Exam that is given by Ba kent University and the ones accepted by Ba kent, GCE General Certificate Education, Cambridge International A Level, SAT CR+CW+M: minimum score of 1000 out of 1600 writing included, International Baccalaureate:At least 24 diploma score out of 45, International science olympaids: Having a gold, silver or bronze medal from the International Science Olympiads recognized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, West African examination council:Minimum 3 subjects in the related area of the applied program for 5 subjects with at least 25 points in total
