The Department of Sociology aims for its graduates who have the sociological imagination to acquire vocational competence by analyzing the meanings and processes of the phenomena of the global world objectively based on the principles of cultural relativity and sustainability; proposing solutions to problems by developing skills on designing research and projects via the use of information-communication technologies and cultivating social communicative skills.

Students who graduate from secondary education institutions are placed to the programs they want to study based on the scores they got from the central examination, Original and Turkish translations of high school diploma taken from countries outside Turkey and TRNC, Valid examinations result certificate Turkish proficiency certificate, candidates should score in any field S Z, EA, SAY a minimum of 55 from ALES exam valid for 3 years or equivalent of GMAT or GRE determined by High Education Council, Certificate of graduation from High School, ALES Certificate, Photocopy of the Identity Card, Military Service Status Document, Passport, international examinations: SAT: minimum of 1000 out of 1600, Tawjihi: 60 out of 100, GCE: A level from at least two fields, one of them should be in the field of the program applied for, Baccalaureat Libanais: 60 out of 100, International Baccalaureate: Students who have International Bachelors Diploma with a minimum score of 20, Gaokao: A minimum score of 400 out of 750,
